It all started at a birthday party
My best friend invited us to her sweet foster daughter's birthday party. And I happened to bring my camera along.
I had started Meadowsweet, but it was a dream with a name at that point.
I got a few shots of the family and action shots of the kids playing and exploring.
It was fun, I got some cool shots.
And then I heard about her reaction to her photos on the wall. How she loved them and her face lit up when she saw them. And that was the the spark.
That was the moment Meadowsweet Photo Company went from a dream to a vision.
So the Family Portrait Project was born.
The Family Portrait Project seeks to bring free and low cost family portraits to Cincinnati Families. Allowing every child the opportunity to see themselves in a quality family photo and know they are loved, belong, and have a safe home.
Currently we are serving foster families and families who have adopted through the foster care system with FREE Mini Sessions. We are fully booked for our innogural Family Portrait Project Mini Marathon October 15th and 16th. But we still have spots left for our November dates in collaboration with Blushery Events! We are so thankful they are donating the space for these families, and stay tuned ! We have an announcement for our next partner coming very soon ! We can't wait to tell you who will be decorating the set and turning it into a crisp and clean winter wonderland !

I am dedicated to protecting the identity and privacy of the children in your care and will keep all photos of foster children secure and off of social media and will NOT be used for my portfolio. Any shots of parent(s) and/or biological without any foster children may be used for portfolio use unless requested otherwise.
Any donations/gratuity received from the Family Portrait Project will go to reinvesting in equipment, time, and sourcing other vendors to expand future offerings and events to serve and give back to our community.
